Eye contour: the most fragile area of your face

Contour des yeux : la zone la plus fragile de votre visage

Because fresh, smooth eyes start with the right reflexes

Why does the eye contour area need special care?

The skin around the eyes is 3 to 5 times thinner than the rest of the face, especially around the eyelids. It contains fewer sebaceous glands, collagen and elastin, making it drier and more prone to wrinkles.

Add to this 28,000 blinks a day (more if you're in love 💘): this area is both highly solicited and very exposed to external aggressions (pollution, sun, fatigue...).

Proper make-up removal, the first essential step

Don' t use a facial cleanser to remove eye make-up. Too aggressive, it could irritate this sensitive area. Instead, use a gentle, specially adapted eye make-up remover.

Which care for which need?

Eye contour products are formulated with specific textures and targeted active ingredients to address common problems: puffiness, dark circles, fine lines.

Facial care products, which are often richer or contain essential oils, can be too irritating. Here, precision comes first.

How to apply eye contour care correctly?

  • Take the equivalent ofhalf a grain of rice for both eyes.
  • Use yourring finger (the finger that exerts the least pressure).
  • Gently pat in, without smoothing or rubbing.
  • Apply to the entire eye contour (not just the famous half-moon), but avoid the mobile eyelid.

Morning and night, from an early age

Eye contour care should be used as soon as possible. Ideally :

  • In the morning: an anti-puffiness or anti-dark circle treatment to awaken the eyes.
  • In the evening: an anti-wrinkle treatment to smooth and prevent the first signs of aging.

Insider tip: start before wrinkles appear. Anti-aging is an early game.
